DAYS AFTER THE WEEK BEFORE - LOOKING BACK TO THE CITY CAMP EXPERIENCE
Choose one of these options and write about one or more of your experiences.
- You might choose to write a descriptive piece - maybe about all the days, a particular day, incident event or personal story
- It might be a personal or reflective piece written in the first person where you think back to some of things you did or thought. It could be funny or sad
- You could write an instructional piece of writing resulting from one of the activities you did e.g. How to get the most out of ....a trip to the Victoria Market (it could be funny or serious
- "The week was everything I expected it would be." Write an analytical response to this statement
- "Friends" or "City Camp" Write a piece about the week using either of these headings as a title
Your writing piece should also include an image (or a symbol) of an aspect of your writing and an explanation of why you chose it. If you are blogging make sure you choose your image from http://flickrcc.bluemountains.net/ for copyright free images or use a photo you have taken.
Length: 200 to 250 words

Welcome to Year 8
Hello to our new bloggers. Have a look at some of the other blogs and leave some comments about the ideas they have written about. For this week I would like you tothink about a place you have visited that you really liked. Try to describe the place without telling us where it is. Think about ways to 'show, not tell' your reader about the place. What can you hear when you're there. What can you see? Are there any smells you're aware of. Can you feel anything under your feet as you walk along? Go wild with your descriptions...
